Design and Mechanics of Materials Section

The section works on mechanical properties of materials with specific focus on static loading, low and high cycle fatigue and brittle fracture at room and elevated temperatures and further on non-destructive loading:

Section of Micromechanics and Materials Modelling

Interdisciplinary oriented section that works primarily on theoretical topics and computational support of design and micromechanics of materials. The activities are on the frontiers of Department of Advanced Metallic Materials, Department of Solid Mechanics and Department of Mathematics.

Department of Solid Mechanics

The activity of the department is oriented on the theoretical and computational support of the material design, micromechanics of materials and an interpretation of the material response to the mechanical loading. The following topics are primarily in focus:
