Ceremonious opening of environmental chamber at NETME Centre

Environmental chamber is used for testing and measuring of comfort in transport vehicles and together with the thermal mannequin, it may optimize travelling conditions. Research team at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering cooperates among others with Škoda Auto.

In relation to launch of a new laboratory for research of electron beam-based technologies, Division of Advanced Metallic Materials, in cooperation with the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, is holding a workshop on electron beam-based technologies.

AMM division obtained unique project grant from Dobeneck-Technologie-Stiftung foundation

Dobeneck-Technologie-Stiftung foundation decided to support the unique electron beam technology laboratories located at the Division of AMM at NETME Centre and provided project grant of 0.25 million €.

New laboratories of Division of AMM were officially approved

Construction work on 3rd floor A3 laboratory designed for material structure analysis, laboratory of heat treatment technologies and mechanical test room in B3 building along with laboratory for EB technology in D5 building were finalized during the summer.

New equipment in AMM laboratories

New pieces of equipment have arrived at renowned AMM laboratories. Unique analytic FEG SEM Zeiss Ultra Plus system and Zwick Z250 Allround-Line, tCII will contribute to the existing outstanding research.

Engineers at the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design designed a new model of racing truck

Manufacturing of three special models of MAN EVO 012/one racing trucks is now being finished, their design has been contrived by Ladislav Křenek, Associate Professor and academic sculptor at the Department of Industrial Design at the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design (IMID), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME).

PhD student at FME has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship

Jakub Broukal, PhD student at the Institute of Process and Environmental Engineering, has been awarded Fulbright Scholarship for his research stay in USA. Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships which support student and academic mobility between USA and other countries.

Thermal manikin analyses environmental and heat comfort

Thanks to NETME Centre project, Division of Power, Processes and Environmental Engineering (PPE) acquired unique product, the so called Thermal Manikin (Newton Thermal Manikin System).
