How can companies help technically-oriented universities and vice versa?

Date: 7 November 2013 (10:00-15:30)
Place: rectorate hall, Brno University of Technology, Antonínská 1, Brno

The conference is organised by NETME Centre under patronage of BUT rector. The conference will be conducted by the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, prof. Miroslav Doupovec.

Discussion topics afternoon session:
Who is responsible for education of technical intelligence in a functioning society?

Basic and applied research at a technical university.
Cooperation of a university with companies in the area of science and research.

How can companies use research infrastructure of universities built from the European funds?
Don’t universities bring up potential unemployed?
QUALIFIED LABOUR FORCE: Can we bring it up? Can we make use of it?
Lack of technical graduates. What can we do to prevent it? What can be done by companies? Is their voice heard?

“Tailored” graduates: yes or no?

Position of a technical university professor. Can a practitioner become a professor at a technical university?

Students’ work placements and internships


The afternoon session will be managed as a panel discussion.
The names of all participants are listed in the invitation.

Admission to the conference is possible after registration and confirmation of your application by the organiser. Places in the conference hall are limited and will be provided according to the order of applications.
