Invitation to a lecture by Dr. Graham Wigley from Loughborough University

ABSTRACT

The lecture, to be held exclusively in English, will take place at the Department of Thermodynamics and Environmental Engineering (Energy institute of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology), in room 311 (building A2), Technická 2, Brno.

The lecture will be followed by a tour through laboratories accompanied by practical demonstration of variety of experimental methods (PIV, LDA, PDA) with focus on application to particular problem in fluid mechanics. Lecture including excursion will last 2 - 3 hours.

Lecture is intended for students, academic staff and interested professionals from industry sector.

About Lecturer:

Dr. Wigley is engaged in laser diagnostics and measurement methods and their application in fluid mechanics. Over 30 years, he is pursuing his studies in the field of fluid dynamics in combustion engines and carrying research of fuel-injection systems.

Dr. Wigley is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering, Loughborough University, UK.
